Click here to submit your Tutor Request ONLINE!
The first person you should contact if you are seeking assistance with your course work should be your instructor. All instructors are required to provide students access to out-of-class assistance by establishing and publishing their weekly office hours for your reference and use. In the event that your instructor recommends you seek further assistance by obtaining a peer or professional tutor, you will need to complete a Tutor Request Form.
Students may apply for academic assistance in several ways.
- Click the word "ONLINE" above; you will be taken to the electronic form.
- Hard copy forms are available from our office in the lower level of the library.
- Call us at 724-430-4119.
Remember, when completing the form or making inquiry by phone or e-mail, try to be as specific as possible. Also, be mindful to provide as many date/time availabilities as possible. Allow up to 72 hours for your request to be processed. You will be notified by phone or e-mail of your appointment status. All appointments will be held in or near the The Teaching and Learning Center, unless otherwise indicated at the time your appointment is confirmed.
In the event that we are unable to fulfill your request, it would be due to either of the following reasons:
- A tutor in your subject area is not available at the center.
- A tutor in your subject area is available, but not at the same time that you are available.
Also, if you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, or your request data changes, please contact the center by phone at 724-430-4119 at your earliest opportunity.
