A Message from the Chancellor
Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus is growing in many exciting ways. We have always offered excellent educational programs, but in recent years we have stepped up our progress to combine the best in teaching, research, and outreach for higher numbers of students. The results speak for themselves. We are celebrating record enrollments, a successful completion of our Grand Destiny Campaign raising $21.8M and the opening of our new community center.
Traditionally, we have offered associate degrees, the first two years of more than 160 Penn State baccalaureate majors, and a number of continuing education courses. We still offer those options, but today's students can also complete five baccalaureate degrees (Business; Human Development and Family Studies; Administration of Justice; Nursing; and Letters, Arts, and Sciences) without leaving Penn State Fayette. Enrollment is about 1,100 students in addition to the 5,000 students we serve through our continuing education programs and growing. Our faculty members are leading a number of innovative outreach efforts, and we have one of the best physical plants anywhere, including the renovation of the Eberly Building Center, making it one of the most technically advanced building in the county for teaching and learning.
We pursue these advancements toward a single purpose; improving the economic climate and development of our region. We plan to offer even more educational opportunities to our students in the future. But with this growth comes continuous financial pressures to ensure the quality of higher education. Penn State Fayette aims to make great strides toward investing in our community's educational and economic future and our goals include providing more scholarships so talented students who lack resources can obtain a Penn State education; offering enhanced support to faculty; and financing a number of important cultural, social, and athletic programs to ensure a well-rounded and challenging university experience.
Success in the future is vital to our future, and we must look to the alumni and friends of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus to support us in achieving our ambitious goals.
