What do you like most about Penn State Fayette? It is a small, friendly campus where you get to know your colleagues and students well. Yet, faculty and students have all the resources of a large research institution.
What do you like most about teaching at Penn State Fayette? PTA courses require hands-on learning. The courses are very rigorous, but we have a lot of fun in class.
What do you like most about Penn State Fayette students? The combination of traditional and nontraditional students enhances classroom discussions.
What inspires students the most in your classes and/or your academic area? When students return to campus after their first clinical practicum, they realize how much they have learned. The coursework becomes more meaningful to them and they start to transition from the role of student to professional.
What kinds of unique opportunities are available to students in your classes or department? Each student completes three practica. These clinical experiences help the student learn to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real patient scenarios. The practica also help students find employment after graduation.
