What do you like most about Penn State Fayette? What I like most about Penn State Fayette is the incredible opportunity our students have to obtain a Penn State University degree without leaving southwestern Pennsylvania. The Penn State experience and education, with world-wide brand recognition, is available in the students' own back yard.
What do you like most about Penn State Fayette students? What I enjoy most about Penn State Fayette students is their honest and strong work ethics. They consistently find a way to balance family, work, and school responsibilities, making difficult but important decisions about time management, pressing needs, and future goals.
What inspires students the most in your classes and/or your academic area? I believe what inspires my students the most is learning about the vast array of options before them: the various perspectives on life and work, the opportunities to explore different career avenues, and the many strategies for defining success. I try to inspire each of my students with the honest analysis of career and life choices so they can truly see their choices and then fully exercise their options.
What is your favorite class project, and why? My favorite class projects are the ones where I require the students to utilize web-based technology, to develop online projects that enable them to explore their interests. As I teach my students, today’s employers are hiring them, as recent Penn State graduates, not simply because of their business education, but because their technology skills create greater value for their employers.
What is your favorite quote? “Always remember, ten out of ten people die. Don’t over stress about everything.”—Peter Eberle
