Freshman Degree Admission also called first-year admission, is for applicants who have earned high school diplomas or the equivalent, or have earned fewer than 18 semester credits from another college/university. SAT, SAT I, or ACT scores are waived for adult learners seeking freshman degree admission. For this waiver, adult students are defined as those who have been out of high school for five or more years or veterans with four or more years of service with an honorable discharge.
Transfer Admission Persons who have earned high school diplomas or the equivalent, are United States citizens or an immigrant, and who have attempted at least 18 semester credits at other regionally accredited colleges or universities may seek transfer admission.
Re-enrollment and Academic Renewal Have you attended Penn State previously? Use re-enrollment to resume degree study. Academic renewal provides re-enrolled students with the opportunity to resume their academic careers without being penalized by past academic records.
