Administration of Justice

The Administration of Justice major focuses on an understanding of the administration of justice system: public and private sector enforcement and investigation, legal systems, correctional treatment, and community services. Graduates of the program can find an extensive array of career opportunities in federal, state, and local law enforcement, as well as correction agencies, probation and parole, community crime prevention and treatment services, and private-sector security.

Business

The bachelor of science in Business is designed for students who want to combine general preparation in business with an emphasis on the small business environment of the region. This program has an emphasis on cooperative learning, teamwork, and the use of technology. The Business major is designed to help you become a flexible business professional, equipped to adapt to the ever-changing workplace of the future.

Human Development and Family Studies

A degree in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) is designed to prepare you to be an active and dynamic human services professional in your community. Penn State’s HDFS major is widely regarded for the excellent preparation that students receive to subsequently work with individuals and families. For those already in the field of human services, this degree prepares you for further advancement.

Letters, Arts, and Sciences

This program is designed to broaden a person’s understanding, interests, and skills. With the assistance of an adviser, students have the opportunity to design their own program, within certain prescribed boundaries, that link courses from different disciplines.

Nursing (RN to BS)

The baccalaureate program in Nursing offers registered nurses with a diploma or associate degree in nursing the opportunity to earn a bachelor of science degree in nursing. The program is adjusted to permit individuals with community, family and occupational time constraints to pursue the degree in the convenience of their home area. Students have the opportunity to work collaboratively with faculty in designing experiences in the clinical setting that meet their needs.
